Knowledge and interpretation: the new analogical epistemology.

Abstract
Objective: To outline the features of the new analogical epistemology. Methodology: Theoretical-conceptual analysis. Results: The new epistemology arises from analogical hermeneutics. Thus, it joins extremes and even opposites; it is placed between univocity and equivocity, taking the best of each; it reduces the dichotomy between theory and praxis, as well as between reason and emotion, enriching knowledge with perspectives of both opposites; it opens the range of interpretations, to enrich interpretation, to make it finer and more adequate, more comprehensive and explanatory, but without renouncing to truth or objectivity, which will be balanced and situated, as is proper of analogism. Conclusion: Between the univocism of positivism and the equivocism of postmodernism, there is a way out: analogical epistemology, which mediates between these extremes and helps to energize philosophical activity in Latin America with an analogical postcolonial thought.
