Open access policies
The journal CoPaLa, Construyendo Paz Latinoamericana, provides open access to its content, based on the principle that providing the public with free access to research helps a greater global exchange of knowledge. This work is licensed under a Creative Commons ATTRIBUTION-NONCOMMERCIAL-SHAREALIKE 4.0 INTERNATIONAL License, which allows free access, downloading and archiving of published articles.
As an open access journal, we do NOT charge any fee during the whole editorial process for the publication of the articles, including the scientific review and layout of the articles. There is no publication fee or Article Processing Charge (APC) associated with this publication for authors or readers.

CoPaLa Magazine. Construyendo de Paz Latinoamericana informs its authors and readers that all publications must be submitted with the Letter of Acceptance of Copyright Conditions, where the authors are requested to authorize the submission of the article to CoPaLa Magazine for the latter to carry out any of the following activities:
- - The graphic and style editing of the work or part of it.
- - The publication and reproduction of the work or part of it, both in print and electronic media, including internet and any other technology known or to be known.
- - The translation into any language or dialect of the work or part thereof.
- - The adaptation of the work or formats of reading, sound, voice and any other representation or technical mechanism available, that makes possible its access for partially or totally blind people, or with any other form of special abilities that prevent the conventional reading of the article.
- - The distribution and availability of the work to the public, in such a way that it can be accessed at the time and place of each person's choice, through the electronic mechanisms available to them.
- - Any other form of use, process or system known or to be known that is related to the activities and editorial purposes to which the CoPaLa Journal is linked.
- - The format of the Letter is Word with filling fields for the incorporation of the basic data of the manuscript and the authors.
- - The Journal makes the letter available for individual and collective works (up to three authors).
- - In the same letter, authors must accept that with their collaboration, the article submitted will be adjusted by the CoPaLa Journal editing team, according to the "Guidelines for Authors" (previously established and published on the Journal's official website).
Authors who publish in the CoPaLa. Construyendo de Paz Latinoamericana accept the following conditions:
- - The authors retain their moral rights over the publication and assign the patrimonial rights mentioned in the Letter of Assignment of Rights with the license Creative Commons Attribution - Non Commercial - Compatitr Equal 4.0 International, which allows third parties to use what is published as long as they mention the authorship of the work and to the first publication in this Journal.
- - Authors may make other independent and additional contractual agreements for the non-exclusive distribution of the version of the article published in this Journal, as long as they clearly indicate that the work was published for the first time in the CoPaLa Journal. - Readers rights
Readers have the right to read all our articles free of charge immediately after publication. This publication makes no financial charge for publication or for access to its material.
- Publication schedule
The journal is published every six months, January-June and July-December. However, on some occasions the journal and its committee may decide to publish a special issue between the biannual publications.
- Inoperability schedule
The journal CoPaLa, Construyendo Paz Latinoamericana, incorporates interoperability protocols. This allows its contents to be collected or harvested by other distribution systems, such as: databases, digital repositories and/or harvesters.
