Year 10, No. 21 / 01 January - 30 June 2025
The new edition of the magazine Copala Construyendo Paz Latinoamericana, in collaboration with the Center for Studies and Research in Sustainable Development (CEDeS) of the UAEMex, reflects on planetary limits, including issues such as climate change, biodiversity loss, freshwater depletion and pollution. It questions how the capitalist economic model, based on the exploitation of nature and technology as synonymous with progress, has caused serious damage to ecosystems and all forms of life.
The magazine invites to explore critical analysis, case studies and strategies on issues such as environment, indigenous peoples, local knowledge, tourism, transportation, and education, seeking alternatives to the current civilizational model. In addition, this special issue pays tribute to Dr. Luis Alberto Olín Fabela, an outstanding researcher and professor at CEDeS, in recognition of his valuable career and legacy.
