Abstract

The book entitled Agroecology and Sustainability: A Convergence for Development is a work that is part of an essential field of study today: sustainability. The book addresses the theoretical and practical foundations of agroecology, an approach that moves away from conventional agricultural practices and seeks more harmonious forms of production, respectful of ecosystems and socially just. The text is organized in five chapters ranging from the history of agriculture to the intrinsic relationship between agroecology and sustainability.
