We, the poor. unprecedented subjectivations between poverty and desire.

Abstract

Without adopting a "representationalist" perspective, we have sought to reconstruct the utopian horizon on the basis of an exploration of the constitutive otherness of one's own identity, conceived as an assemblage that is always in the process of formation and never complete or definitive. On this basis, and in the wake of The Anti-Oedipus, we set out to identify some of the main threads that knot the economic dimension of poverty to the not merely psychological but ontological level of desire. As a result, through a voice that, in addition to the relevant bibliographical material, explored emotional traces, memories and present absences (childhood memories, historical milestones, fragments of songs), we have brought to light that our self is inherently plural and that appealing to this collective distortion is crucial for any project of world transformation. Finally, we conclude that –insofar as manifestations of desire (as Deleuze and Guattari noted, and Fujita Hirose has recently reminded us) would be the only thing that capitalism could not resist– the liberation of desire production, as the material production of the real, remains the key operation for opening fissures in the capitalist system.
